Dopo aver utilizzato per qualche giorno il servizio di VPN offertomi gratuitamente da SuperVPN, sono pronto per esprimere le mie impressioni e considerazioni riguardo questo servizio applicato allo streaming di musica attraverso Pandora.

Leggendo i feed di BongoLinux, mi imbatto in un articolo molto interessante per me che suono la chitarra: Guitarix, un multieffetto specifico per la chitarra rock/metal/blues che sia.
Il punto forte di questo programma stà nella sua semplicità d’uso, di conseguenza anche persone che (come me) non hanno molta dimestichezza con regolazioni varie possono ottenere un suono se non ottimo, almeno soddisfacente.
Inoltre, non c’è bisogno di impazzire con i vari plugin di Jack Rack 
Nel caso in cui voi usiate una distro debian-based, basta scaricare ed installare questo pacchetto per i processori a 32-bit oppure quest’altro per i processori a 64-bit.
Nel caso in cui, come me, usiate Arch Guitarix e le sue dipendenze sono disponibili su AUR.
Purtroppo quando si tenta di compilarlo con il PKGBUILD offerto su AUR, il processo si blocca poiché non riesce a trovare né su AUR né nei repo il pacchetto “jack-audio-connection-kit”.
Quindi, ho scaricato i PKGBUILD e li ho modificati per far si che questo problema non si ponga (qui trovate i file modificati).
Iniziate muovendovi nella cartella “guitarix” e dando makepkg per iniziare la compilazione, finito il processo installate il pacchetto .pkg.tar.gz:
cd guitarix
makepkg
sudo pacman -U [pacchetto]
dopodichè, eseguite gli stessi comandi prima nella cartella “meterbridge” e poi nella cartella “jack_capture”.
Per facilitare l’avvio e lo stop di Jack, consiglio di installare anche “Qjackctl” che trovate nei repo ufficiali
